This really depends on who you are talking to. At the age of 22 I was down on my luck. I had to count every penny I had to make sure I could get my laundry cleaned, had bus tokens to get to work, had enough to buy bread and tuna, and to support my crappy smoking habit.
I slept on a hardwood floor in an apartment, lived out of a suit case while the other renters who I lived with played video games all night. Good thing I am a good sleeper or life would have been real bad. I got up every morning, ironed my cloths, packed my lunch and then off on the subway I went.
Was I rich? Well no, but I can say that compared to the neighborhood I lived in I was doing ok compared to some people.
Many years later I have an awesome wife, a beautiful home, children, and animals.
Compared to back then, I have money left over at the end of the month vs. Have more month at the end of the money.
No more last minute wires through money mart from my mom, instead in most cases, I get to do what I want to and give back as much as I possibly can.
So you tell me, am I Rich or am I wealthy? I truly believe it depends on who you are talking to and what their personal situation looks like compared to yours.
