I’ve been selfish.
I should have shared this information earlier with my audience, but it didn’t dawn on me till the other day when I was at store, had an item in my hand, I asked myself if I really needed it, and I didn’t, so I put it back down and walked away.
The word “No” has a lot of power.
I’ve used the word extensively in my business and in life.
People come at me all the time with their bright ideas, schemes and investments. I’ve said “No” to taking meetings from people I don’t like or want to do business with.
I’ve said “No’ to putting crappy food in my body.
I’ve said “No” to getting into debt.
I’ve said “No” to beautiful women because what I saw in their heart, and mind told me they sucked as a person.
I’ve said “No” to spending time with those energy vampires, that just take from you and never give back. I’ve said “No” to their whiney and negative friends. If there is someone I don’t want to be around, I leave the room and just lose their number and never respond to them again.
I said “No” the other day to a stupid “preventative” eye operation my optometrist tried to convince me I needed. It was simple, I just did some research online and talked to my parents about family history. They wanted to drill a hole in my eyeballs to allow fluids to pass, and prevent glaucoma later in life. The eye surgeon also coincidentally, gets a heap of money from the government to do it.
I’ve been saying “No” to buying useless trinkets and crap, almost all my life, and I owe that skill to my parents, and especially my dad.
If there is one area in your life you can apply the power of the word “No” to, its your finances. Not buying crap will keep you in the black all day long
