Everyone has stress.
Money issues, relationships, job not going the way you wanted. There is always something stressing on you either mentally or physically and too many people are not doing anything about it.
Just as everyone has stress, everyone should also have that one thing that can calm them down.
Whether it be reading, going for a walk; me personally I do stand up paddle boarding whenever I need to relax.
It truly became a passion of mine and It is my #1 go to stress reliever. Not only does it work your entire body for a great workout, the Zen you feel while bobbing in the water is a one of a kind feeling that you really need to experience to believe,
I feel that those who let their stresses get to them without relief are the same people who let the things that bother them boil over until it is too late. That’s when nervous breakdowns happen and things spiral out of control.
I’ve seen the same thing happen with people and their debts.
They pay their minimums thinking they are getting ahead but they aren’t actually doing anything about it. The debts don’t go down and in most cases increase until that person is completely overwhelmed and are forced into bankruptcy.
I say all this to show that you must do something other than just your minimums. You have to find that happy medium that allows you to actually pay down your debt without incurring more of it. Find that one little change that will actually do something about the debts you have carried for so many years.
Try making coffee at home instead of getting your fix at Tim’s, or pack a lunch instead of fast food.
These little things will free up $15-30 a week easily and that can go towards tackling your debt and in turn, ease the stress and burden that it causes. It doesn’t take much sacrifice to put that extra $20 a pay towards paying down your credit cards but it does take dedication.
This all works back to easing your stress.
Physically stressed? Go for a walk, get fresh air or just get a massage.
Mentally Stressed? Find your Zen activity and relax.
Debts stressing you out? Make the small sacrifices to pay things down, and if you can’t, talk to us for help.
You will be much happier overall if you follow these simple instructions. Don’t let stress get to the point of a breakdown. Do something to tackle what is causing the stress now and don’t let it get to the point of no return.
