How To Get Your Kids To Start Saving
Well, it’s that time again! Leaves change colour, days get shorter, and it dips to below double digit temperatures at night. I am not bringing this up to dampen anyone’s spirits. I just know that for me it is time to close up the summer get- away. Many people have a favourite camp ground, or they have a trailer, or cottage and it is time to close up for yet another season. I want to let you know of some cost effective measures I take in closing up for the season.
First you want to make sure that you have picked up anti freezing agents that are needed prior to this time of year. They typically go on sale in the spring and it would be best to pick it up then as you can usually save about 10-20%. As well, most people use things to deter rodents or bugs from coming into the warm building and destroying the property. I can tell you that the best thing to use would be no name fabric softener sheets, not only are they cheap they keep the pests out and keep your place smelling fresh for the next time you arrive. If you have toys, such as boats, ATV’s, or any motorized equipment you may want to take the left over gas and bring it home for your snow blower. But the greatest cost savings of all would be to not do any closings on a long weekend, as all prices are inflated and it would cost more to travel, and purchase supplies.
