I started in the collection industry as a bill collector in the early 90’s. Back then, the collection rules for bill collectors weren’t enforced as much as they are today so you would hear bill collectors say things like “We will send you to the debtor prison if you don’t pay your bill”, or we will send a bailiff and have them arrest you for theft.
The truth of the matter is I have never experienced, or heard of anyone going to jail for simply not paying their credit cards. There was a time where I was working as a bill collector and I was calling people on outstanding debts for a particular company and I accepted a credit card payment from someone who was paying their bill.
Four months later I was told by the company I was doing collections work for, that the payment I had accepted had to be charged back.
The credit card I accepted was fraudulent, and was part of a huge credit card fraud ring. Soon after that I was listening to the news and heard they arrested quite a few people who were making credit cards by using other people’s identity. I also give a few more examples in my video. However, in case this happens to you, firstly read review here about the services that can help you with bail and then take the necessary action, depending on the circumstances, or hop over to this website to know about bail bond.
Most people who have credit cards, from my personal experience, have had them for quite some time. They make purchases, and then make their monthly payments.
